About Daybreaker Design
Daybreaker Design is a web design company started by me, Brad Huber. Ever since 1995, I have been interested in the internet and creating websites. I have created several personal sites over the years, and designed sites for other people as well. After receiving a BS in Computer Science from Louisiana Tech, and a graduate degree in Technical Communications from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, I decided to use my studies in Usability and Human-Computer Interaction to design web sites.
Why design websites?
Websites are often a key component for businesses, providing information and services to their customers from the comfort of their own computers. I have spent over a decade using the internet not just for entertainment, but as an informative tool for finding local companies when I need something, such as a car mechanic. If a company doesnt have a website, but their competitor does, that's a lost business opportunity. Also, in over a decade of internet use, I have seen some very bad websites. Websites that through either their poor design, or lack of content, just do not provide the user with any useful information. This is just as bad as not having a website, because what good is a shoddy website with no info, or missing links? What good does a site like that provide to a visitor? With my background in usability, I am intent on making sure people and businesses can take full advantage of the internet, and have a site that not only shows the user what the company is about, but gives the user the information they need.
