Q: How do I get a webpage for my business?

A: All you need to do is contact me and give me a general idea of what you want. Once we get a basic design worked out, we can then begin creating the content for the site. The whole process is very quick and easy.

Q: Can I get www.mybusiness.com?

A: Usually you can. Sometimes there may be a business with that name already. In that event, you may have to change it up a bit, either by abbreviating your business name, or adding something extra to it.

Q: Will I get my own email address?

A: Yes, you will! You can get your own address, with yournam@yourwebpage.com! And it's easy to check that email too. It can either be automatically forwarded to an existing email account (which means any email sent to yourname@yourwebpage.com will go directly to your current Yahoo, Hotmail, etc. account), or we can set you up to check your mail online by going to webmail.yourwebpage.com!

Q: What does the $25/month fee cover?

A: It covers the price of your domain name (www.yourwebpage.com), the cost of hosting that webpage (a webpage takes up computer space on a server just like regular files do on your computer), and the cost of making any changes to your site including: updating it with current news, updating a product list, fixing any technical issues, etc. It does not cover maintaining an e-commerce inventory or a site re-design.

Q: Can I make changes to my own site?

A: When making websites, the smallest error in the code could break the whole page. This is why we would prefer it if you contacted us for all changes you want made to the site. If you need to update the site yourself though, there are three options:

  1. If you feel comfortable enough with HTML to mess with the code, we can give you the information you need to access it. However, if anything breaks, it is not covered by the $25 maintenance fee.
  2. For a small fee we can build a password protected area that lets you edit the content of any page, just by logging in, choosing the page you want to edit, and typing in the new info.
  3. If all you want to update is a news page, purchase a blog add-on.
Obviously, choice 2 is easier and safer, but choice 1 is cheaper. Choice 3 is cheaper than choice 2, and just as easy, but has a limited scope (you can only update 1 page). If you dont need massive daily updates, however, it is still best just to email us with the changes you want made.
